Tuesday 25th August: Doncaster Bloodstock Sales open the long, exciting season of Sales for those of us connected with this industry. Up the A1 go the faithful from Newmarket to view what is on show. Meanwhile work continues apace as preparations are made for out next racecourse appearances.
Wednesday 26th August: A tentative entry for THE FRYING PAN (above right) at Leicester on Tuesday, sees her in a largish entry that might mean she is balloted out of the race. Preference for a little give in the ground also governs her participation. Up at Doncaster it is heartening to see the Tagula ex Bobbydazzle yearling filly fetch a hefty 52000 guineas. She is a granddaughter of BILLIE BLUE and therefore niece to all the progeny of BILLIE BLUE here resident....SILENT APPLAUSE, TORVER and CONTEMPLATE.
Friday 28th August: Three more entries for THE FRYING PAN. She has engagements at various venues dotted along the M25. She's in at Kempton and Lingfield on Wednesday and at Epsom on Thursday. Field size and weather will help determine her eventual destination.
