Tuesday 3rd July: Running plans remain fluid due to the unseasonal weather.

Wednesday 4th July: Mr Derek Johnson's LATIMER HOUSE and Silent Partners' DEADLY SILENCE stand their ground at the latest forfeit stage of the Watership Down Stud sales race and the £300,000 St Leger 2- Y-O stakes respectively.

Thursday 5th July: Visit tomorrow for the inaugural "Something for the Weekend" feature.

Friday 6th July: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter.

Saturday 7th July: BIG NOISE is feeling like an Apache Indian following the result of the Warwick 4.40 yesterday, as he has claimed the scalps of the first three home in recent weeks!

DOLLY COUGHDROP a new arrival at Red House Stables, relation to BIG NOISE

Monday 9th July: The Grey Berry, from the family of Big Noise, wins hard held at Beverley and is a possible Cambridgeshire contender.  Also Domedriver has further success with his first 2-Y-O's, good news for Red House as both Red Sail and Billie Blue are in foal to said son of Indian Ridge.

Tuesday 10th July: Distiller, out of Bobbydazzle, a daughter of Billie Blue, finished 2nd in a Handicap at Windsor on Monday.  Big Noise, has a speculative entry for a 6F Handicap at Ascot on Friday.

Wednesday 11th July: Demi Sec, is entered at Yarmouth on Tuesday in a 10F Claiming event.  Areweplayinout, out of Bobbydazzle, finished 2nd in a 5F seller at Lingfield (AW) on Tuesday.

Thursday 12th July: As flood waters recede from Worcester racecourse a glut of dead fish is revealed.  More work for the poor old Clerk of the Scales then!

Friday 13th July: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter

Saturday 14th July: Three entries for the "Madness" evening at Newmarket this coming Friday - Red Sail, Silent Applause and Big Noise.  Also there is a new face in the yard - DOLLY COUGHDROP from the Big Noise family was secured yesterday at the Tattersalls July Sales.  Well Hello Dolly!

From the top: BIG NOISE, RED SAIL and SILENT APPLAUSE all ready to run, weather permitting.

Monday 16th July: Red Sail has an alternative entry at Lingfield on Saturday evening.  Home of her course and distance win last year.  Two more new faces in the yard sent by Big Noise's  breeder, a colt by Terimon and a National Hunt bred filly by Rakaposhi King.

Tuesday 17th July: Gaping omission from our history page highlighted by MR ROB GLADDIS.  One of our favourite little fillies, winner of two races for us, was MYSTIC TEMPO and she has gone onto star at stud being the dam of Group 1 winning Le Vie Dei Colouri. ERROR NOW RECTIFIED!

Wednesday 18th July:" Top of the ground" horses Red Sail, Big Noise and Silent Applause (Ted Durcan aboard all three) declared for Newmarket on Friday on Good to Firm going.  Following wind along with more fair weather required to counteract water now being applied by the Clerk of the Course (in his wisdom) and potential downpours on Friday itself.

News from Ireland where ex-inmate, and daughter of Billie Blue, Scarlett Rose foaled a fine bay colt by Starcraft on the 10th February.  She is now back in foal to the 2,000 Guineas winner Footstepsinthesand.

Thursday 19th July: Campaign for the abolition of 48 hours declarations accelerates as the letters page of today's "Racing Post"  features diatribes from David Elsworth and a belligerent trainer's wife from the Hamilton Road.

Friday 20th July: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter.

Saturday 21st July: An early afternoon deluge over Newmarket (meticulous trainer walking course stranded at the 2F pole!) forced withdrawal of all three "top of the ground" horses.  Would have been Madness to run on rain softened ground.

LATIMER HOUSE debuted at Yarmouth running respectably.

Monday 23rd July: As the country continues to sink, most of our running plans go down the drain!

Tuesday 24th July: First two-year-old runner of the season, LATIMER HOUSE, goes to Yarmouth on Monday for Sun, Sea and seven furlongs.

Wednesday 25th July: What happens to all the prize money from the multitude of abandoned meetings? NOBODY KNOWS!  Especially the Racehorse Owners' Association when we enquired.  They're looking into it for us!

Thursday 26th July: DEMI SEC is entered for a six furlong maiden at Kempton Park on Wednesday 1st August.

Friday 27th July: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter

Saturday 28th July: LATIMER HOUSE off to the sport at Yarmouth on Monday.  As for RED SAIL and SILENT APPLAUSE, they go the Robert the Bruce route and try, try, try again for a run at Newmarket this coming Friday.

Monday 30th July: BIG NOISE holds an entry at Newmarket on Saturday.  He'll be stepping up to 7F for the first time and we're praying for no rain!

Tuesday 31st July: Sometimes things don't add up.  Rough Rock  won the two-year-old seller at Yarmouth yesterday.  He cost 30,000gns as a yearling. Gay Kelleway bought the horse out of the race for £28,600.  The race was worth about £1,500 to the winning owners after deductions and Yarmouth racecourse made £12,500 out of the sale. Hmmm
