Johannesburg x School of Deelites is microchipped so she can run.

Saturday 12th April: Busy but largely uneventful week here at Red House as work is gradually cranked up for all.

DOLLY COUGHDROP was happily still in foal when scanned at 28 days.

We move one step closer to naming the last of the two-year-olds.  Johannesburg x School of Deelites has had the mandatory microchip inserted into her neck.

Tony Dalton was up to see his pride and joy Billie Blue who still looks remarkably well for a 22-year-old.  Her foal is a bonny little chap and she's been covered by three-time Group One winner Notnowcato.

Deadly Silence was somehow squeezed into the starting gate!

Wednesday 16th April: A BIG challenge!  How do you get DEADLY SILENCE into the stalls when he's clearly too big to fit?  Well, somehow we succeeded and what a gentleman he was!  In his first session ever he walked into closed stalls and trotted out. Ten out of ten.

Meanwhile one of Red House's favourite inmates, BOBBY CHARLES, saw his half brother Trans Siberian narrowly beaten into second place at Windsor.

Friday 18th April: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter.

Week Beginning 21st April
Contemplate (above) gets a Redcar Two-year-old trophy entry and Deadly Silence (below) makes an eye-catching debut at Leicester.

Tuesday 22nd April: Having completed a satisfactory second visit to the stalls DEADLY SILENCE has been entered in a ten furlong maiden at Leicester on Saturday.

Wednesday 23rd April: The entries are stacking up now with TORVER getting an entry for a seven furlong handicap at Yarmouth on Monday.

Thursday 24th April: CONTEMPLATE (Compton Place x Billie Blue) joins our list of horses with early closing entries having been put in the Redcar two-year-old Trophy, a valuable Listed contest, which is run very early in October.

Meanwhile DEADLY SILENCE is declared for Leicester on Saturday, Steve Drowne takes the ride.

Friday 25th April: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter.

Saturday 26th April: TORVER and PAINTED SMILE completed five furlongs on the polytrack on Friday.  Therefore TORVER takes up her engagement at Yarmouth on Monday.  She competes in a seven furlong handicap with Joe Fanning on board.

Sunday 27th April: A very satisfactory debut for DEADLY SILENCE coming home third behind Sir Michael Stoute's two runners in a ten furlong maiden at Leicester yesterday.

Week Beginning 28th April

Tuesday 29th April: The enigmatic TORVER returns from her

Yarmouth race sound and well, despite not troubling the judge.

DEADLY SILENCE resumes cantering exercise and seems in

good health after his racecourse debut at the weekend.
