LADY ANGELICA is the first yearling to be named. |
Monday 3rd December: Sales season enters its final furlong with four days of mare and fillies passing through the sales ring at Tattersalls.
Meanwhile, here the Piccolo filly has been successfully ridden away and the latest acquisition, the Johannesburg filly, has been rollered. No blood spilt!
Thursday 6th December: First of the yearlings has been named. Piccolo x Fine Frenzy has been christened LADY ANGELICA.
Friday 7th December: SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND by the Spotter.

Noverre x Esperada is backed and ready for the big, wide world. |
Monday 10th December: We march on. Noverre x Esperada is "backed" today and the Johannesburg is turning nicely on the bit.

An exciting new acquisition for Red House. Unique you'll agree.

Monday 17th December: Exciting new prospect joined the team over the weekend. It's a Bay Gelding by DR ROBINSON out of CERTIFIABLE.
This fantastic new acquisition is available for syndication in 15 x 10% shares.
Tuesday 18th December: A week away from turkey and plum pudding! We achieve a notable double with our grey Noverre filly . On the day she debuts triumphantly on the Newmarket Heath, her half sister Especially wins at Southwell.
Meanwhile, the December Yearling Sale purchase Johannesburg x School of Deelites is driven in long reins with a saddle on.
So what of our little Bahamian Bounty filly - subject of our guide to "breaking in"? She has had a week of being led out having sustained a cut just above the coronet band of her Off Hind i.e. back right hoof. She will be back!

Monday 24th December: RIDING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS Merry Christmas to everyone from Red House Stables and may you all have a happy and prosperous 2008.

Monday
31st December: Last day of business for 2007 sees four of our five
yearling fillies ridden. Compton Place x Billie Blue and Noverre
x Esperada are both cantering. LADY ANGELICA and Johannesburg
x School of Deelites are both trotting.
The 'secret weapon', Bahamian Bounty x Emerald Fire, will be backed after the new year now that the cut on her hind leg has healed nicely. Watch out for that!
All the other horses have been in routine exercise during this quiet period. Tomorrow they all celebrate being another year older with a day off.
The cold, dark days of January and February will be spent preparing the team for action in 2008, although a sortie or two on the all-weather tracks have not been discounted during the winter months.
We certainly have plenty to look forward to with a team of progressive and promising animals here at RED HOUSE.

Thursday 3rd January: Two new names for you to remember. The four-year-old Terimon x Afterthought has been called DEFECTIVEDETECTIVE whilst the three-year-old Hawk Wing x Fashion will be known as FLIGHT OF FASHION.
