  The Doctor

From PhD Biochemist with an encyclopedic knowledge of the form book but no practical experience of horses to racehorse trainer was quite an adventure for Jon. First stop was historic Palace House Stables in Newmarket with the late and great Bruce Hobbs, followed by a spell with the legendary Sir Mark Prescott. Onwards then to the depths of Southern Ireland to work for Gold Cup winning trainer Mouse Morris and  finally back to Newmarket to cut more teeth with Robert Williams in the year of Mister Majestic and his Middle Park victory. Time at Luca Cumani's Bedford House Stables in the era of Derby winning Kahyasi  preceded the good doctor's entry into the training ranks. After an exceptional first season he moved his string to his purpose-built yard in Newmarket's Hamilton Road where he remains to this day.
