It appears that MOLLY BROWN,  the dam of CARPENTRAS was named after a doughty American passenger on the Titanic who insisted on returning to the stricken vessel to rescue those in peril. These acts of courage earned her the title 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown'. CARPENTRAS'S second dam is SINKING, so the naming process becomes a little clearer.
